Advanced Pottery
In this class, I invite my previous students to expand their knowledge and skills and take on projects for themselves. I will be there to mentor and guide, but will allow each student to work at their own pace. All clay, tools, aprons, glazes, and kiln firings are included in the cost of this class. Class schedule will be posted below.
A reminder that this class will focus on creating a safe space for students to make clay art. I will be there to facilitate and guide, but I will not be telling the students what to make. Some students choose to make bowls, cups, plates (what we call “functional art”) and some students choose to explore the clay sculpturally, creating abstract art. All forms are encouraged, I just ask that each student comes with an open mind ready to get their hands covered in clay!
I recommend wearing clothes that can get dirty, although clay does not stain and washes easily, and I will be providing aprons for those who prefer.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
Meeting in my Midtown Pottery Studio (Speedway and Columbus). Address will be disclosed upon request and/or registration.
There will be no refunds, and no make-up classes for missed classes. If this is a problem, please speak to Susy directly and we can come up with a solution.
